Projects
- SomJuan.com. My first website, and first project of a noteworthy size, SomJuan.com was my online playground. I used it to learn different web languages, and to build a small place online for my friends. It went through several different incarnations, and is at this moment in limbo. It will find its place soon.
- This blog. It started on the old somjuan.com site, but eventually moved to its own place on the web. The transition starts here. The idea initially was to have a place for me to keep my ideas, but increasingly it has become a place for me to share them.
- The Juan Way Tour. The Juan Way Tour is my roadtrip across America, to take place in 2009. The Tour has its own blog here.
- Wristwatch Tattoo. Explained here.
- Landshark Shirts. First post about it here, you can see it here.
- DIY Projector. I don’t think I’ve posted anything about this online, but I’m building a projector out of a LCD Projection Panel and some lenses from an overhead projector. I finally have all the materials I need for it. I’ll post something about this once it is built.
- Everything is Subjective. My most pretentious project to date. Me and modern art.
- SomDay. In 2006 it was a Zombie Invasion. In 2008 it was a Ninja attack.
- Tie-Dye an Abercrombie collared shirt. If you don’t get it, don’t ask.
- Turn certain steam vents around UConn into volcanoes.
- Re-purpose a mall. Detailed in this post, the idea is to acquire an abandoned mall, and turn it into something else entirely. This is very far down the line…
- Save the Dessert Sea Lion(s). Doing my part to try and save this dangerously endangered species.
- Applied Daydreaming course or club. A bunch of students spacing out while someone in front reads from an incredibly boring book.
